A producer and DJ since the early nineties, Gerôme Sportelli hails from Belgium, the cultural and geographic centre Europe. This has influenced him in a stylistic variety of electronic music. His music is a reflection of his passion for different electronic sounds. At the beginning of his career he released under several different monikers, “Intex System”, “Nepz”, and “The Sense” (a collaboration with Sammy Goossens). He confirmed his talent with quality releases on labels like Teknotika, Highgrade, Sur-Muzique, Serie Records. More recently he worked with Detroit legend James Pennington, aka Suburban Knight, as part of the Suburban Knight live act (which toured world wide) and in the studio for many projects and releases. Additionally Sportelli’s solo work was featured on Suburban Knight’s own label Dark Print. After playing a key role in the creation of Serie rec, Gerôme developed his own label KRAX. Influenced by the mythical sound of Chicago acid house, he takes on this style to fashion some techno and electro sounds that bring KRAX a sonic freshness without denying the old school groove realized with none other than the legendary Roland TB303. After the success of the first KRAX records, Gerome is on the forefront of this reinvention of the acid sound, which treads between electro house and neo techno. This wide acceptance of dance-floor acid sounds gave KRAX the success he deserves, which are now being played by top DJs around the world. |

BIOGRAPHIE

Producteur depuis le début des années 90, Gérôme Sportelli réside en Belgique, au centre de l'Europe où il fut influencé par les différents mouvements musicaux électroniques. Sa passion pour la musique électronique en tous genres reflète les différents styles dans lesquels il s'illustre. Au départ de sa carrière, ses productions techno virent le jour sous différents pseudonyme : Intex System, Nepz ou The Sense (en compagnie de Sammy Goossens) avec lesquels il confirma son talent sur différents labels tel que Teknotika, Highgrade, Sur-muzique, Serie Records ou encore plus récemment sur Dark Print, le label de James Pennigton aka Suburban Knight avec qui il fut amené à collaborer sur différents live acts et productions. Apres avoir participé à la création du label "Serie records" Gérôme développe son propre label "KRAX records". Influencé par le son mythique Chicago house, il se réapproprie ce style pour lui apporter ses influences electro techno ce qui apporte a KRAX une fraîcheur sonore sans renier le groove old school de la TB-303, machine désormais incontournable dans la plus part de ses productions. Apres le succès rencontré par ses premiers KRAX Gérôme explore ce son acid remis au goût du jour entre electro-house et neo-techno. Cette débauche de styles acid dancefloor feront le succès de KRAX label désormais reconnu et joué dans une multitude des meilleurs DJs mondiaux. |
